Nick Pope is a high school student who grew up on the Florida beaches who prides himself as a conservationist who tries to protect the marine ecosystem. He has grown up fishing in the canals and the waters off Anna Maria Island. Nick spent a summer tagging sharks with CMERA in Clearwater and is currently a NOAA Citizen Shark Tagger. He is a certified PADI Advanced Diver who has spent time in Fiji diving with sharks, learning about the marine ecosystem, and planting mangroves. He also spent time working with Earthwatch in Belize doing shark research and tagging with Dr. Demian Chapman.
